November 20

Parent Teacher Interviews:  Please book online or drop in Wednesday night.

ELA: Students finally completed their Bridge to Terabithia test on chapters 1-7.  It was a very thorough assessment of their reading, writing, and managing information.  For the latter half of the novel, we will focus on vocabulary, dramatization, and final project.

FLA :
This week in French we continued Le Petit Prince and worked on chapter 4. We also worked on nouns and started a booklet to practice finding them in a sentence and identifying all words that go with it. Next week, we will continue the booklet, we'll read chapter 5 and we will go to the library on Wednesday.

The song for next Friday is Whippet from the band Extério and the lyrics are here.

Social:
This week in Social we had our 3rd quiz (results are in PowerSchool) and students picked a Canadian city on which they will do a research during next week.

Science
I am still looking for Christmas lights. I am re-posting this again this week:
As you will soon start decorating your house for Christmas, I would kindly ask that you think of us before throwing out any sets of Christmas lights that you no longer need.  I am already planning our electricity unit that we will start this spring and am in need of small Christmas lights to be used in our electricity project. If you have any old but working sets of small Christmas lights you would be able to donate, please send them to school with your child at your earliest convenience. Thanks in advance for your help. Here is a photo to show the type of lights we are looking for.
Thank you very much!
Mme Richard
