February 28th

Science:
This week we have been dissolving candies such as Smarties and Life Savers and learned that by changing some variables, we can accelerate the process. Students will continue to experiment with the variables next week.

Social Studies:
This week we had our test about The Interior Plains (marks are in PowerSchool), we review it and started our second last region : The Cordillera.

FLA:
This week we worked on the "Discours Oratoire". Here are the guidelines and the rubric : Discours Oratoire. Students will start presenting on Monday, March 2nd. We also read two chapter of "La créature du marais" chapter 3 and students answered questions about it in class (see mark on Powerschool), we started chapter four. Please check on PowerSchool, I am missing lots of chapter 2 assignments, students have to imagine what the creature looks like, draw it and describe it using 10 adjectives. Those adjectives need to be at the right place (before or after the noun) & have to be accorded (feminine or masculine & singular or plural). Next week, students will present their "Discours Oratoire" and we will finish the fourth chapter of "La créature du marais".

A spelling bee contest has been announced. If students want to participate, here is the list of words for the "Concours d'épellation". The finals will be during the week of March 9th.

Next week is "La semaine de la francophonie". Students can look at the following schedule to know about the different activities.
